Disrupt Now Podcast Ep. 47: Mining for Diamonds in Your Life

When Life Smacks You in the Face, You Should Go Mine for Diamonds

Host: Natalie Viglione and Co-Host: Diane McDermott

In this episode, we discuss some facts around moments that make us go “WTF?!”

Let's face it, life smacks us in the face, people. And then we have some decisions to make.

Especially when you own a business! We can't let things take us down, or guess what happens? Our companies get taken down, too. There is NO separation, not really. (I know this because I am living it.)

Do we go into that fire and then choose to be taken out by it? Do we become victims and go down a dark path?

Sure, maybe at first.

Cry, scream, FEEL IT. Feel it all.

But then after that moment, we have the opportunity to DECIDE to allow ourselves to look at this "smack you in the face moment" and go mining for diamonds.

What does that mean? It means to look for the glistening opportunities and discovering the “diamonds” (aka opportunities) that are shining within the chaos. Trust us, diamonds exist in every chaotic/smack-you-in-the-face moment.

It’s true that disrUPtion moments are actually opportunities for you to recreate something, let something go, and in general, TRANSFORM and EVOLVE. This is the basis of what Disrupt Now is all about.

It’s about embracing all the things, feeling all the things, going through this process, but know that you will come out on the other side. BUT ONLY IF YOU CHOOSE THAT.

Sometimes it can really take a leap of faith to know that you’re not really jumping into an abyss, but you’re jumping into a gorgeous, magical place that’s filled with sparkly diamonds (diamonds meaning OPPORTUNITIES)!

Trust the universe. Trust yourself.
